Questions

What image quality is needed for scanned statements?

Clear, straight, high-contrast scans work best. Blurry photos, shadows, folded pages, or cropped columns can reduce extraction quality.

Can OCR read handwritten notes?

BankScanPro is designed for printed statement text and tables. Handwritten notes should not be treated as reliable transaction data.

Should I use OCR for digital PDFs?

Usually no. Digital PDFs can often be processed faster without OCR. Use OCR when the statement is a scan or photo.

Can scanned credit card statements be converted?

Yes, if the transaction table is readable. Credit card statements should be reviewed carefully because refunds, payments, and purchases may appear in separate sections.
